I Corinthians 15:47-49

"The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven."

The Best Perspective From Which to View Life

Twitter Facebook

Consider the first woman, the bride of Adam…an artist always makes his masterpiece last…she was the pinnacle of His entire creation…She had no flaw.  Words fail to describe how beautiful Eve must have been. She was breathtaking, pure beyond pure, more beautiful than beauty itself…Her DNA was identical to that of Adam’s. She was by him, to him, and for him…she possessed the same life as Adam…Adam was the source of Eve’s life. Adam was the basis for her existence. Eve could only exist because a part of Adam was in her. Without Adam, she had no existence…When she came out of his side, Adam was increased…The woman was the glorious expression of the man. When you saw her, you saw him…I have not been telling you the story of Adam and Eve. I’ve been telling you a story far greater

what life is all about

Adam and Eve’s creation is first and foremost a physical picture of the spiritual reality of what life is all about.  It’s the first picture of a story that is woven throughout all of the pages of the Bible, the one between the Husband and Wife that will eventually be one for all of eternity; the Lord and His Bride.

God’s mission for Himself was to create a Woman upon which He could release His passion.  He shared that passion and His experience of it by creating us wired in the same way.  Adam and Eve shared the characteristics of the eternal Husband and Wife.  Seeing the perfection of their relationship before the Fall shows you how much a part of one another they were; and what life is all about.  The man feels what the Father feels.  The woman receives and responds like the bride of Christ does.

Filtering all of life through the lens of the relationship between God and His Bride and realizing that it is the reason and culmination of our existence brings a true, fresh and exciting perspective to life.   The one that is God’s.

Your turn…what do you have to add?  Questions? Learn anything new?

  • Moving Resources From Controlled to Stewarded
When it comes to resources, no matter how much one has, people tend to have a spirit of scarcity or abundance. Scarcity says “we need to save for when we need it.” Abundance says “use it today, for tomorrow may never come.” Those with a spirit of scarcity long for safety. Those with a spirit of abundance long for adventure. […]
  • Moving Language From Noun-Centric to Verb-Centric
The eighth organizational tool that can be used mechanically or organically is LANGUAGE. How we understand and use language is important because it shapes the way we behave and believe. How? Words are metaphors. If someone says the word tree, the word itself is not what is being communicated. What is being communicated is the idea of a tree. And although our […]
